Our Trip To Intel - "On The Way" Movie

Jeff "Zombie" Fick and a couple others from Intel invited a handful of JLF guys to the Intel facility in Folsom to discuss our opinions on various PC hardware components today. This being our second invitation to the facility, we were honored and looked forward to going again. The JLF members that attended were Ajax, Todesengel, Dr. Death, Disruptor, phU|CrUM, Jackal, and myself (JAG). Unlike last time, we met in a conference room several stories up in the FM7 building. Once we got settled in, each of us were asked a list of questions regarding what hardware we were looking for in our next motherboard purchase and other hardware things to be desired for the PC in general. Needless to say, it was difficult for each of us to hold back discussing hardware we'd like to have. After being treated to Round Table pizza, we were then given the pleasure to preview a couple new Intel motherboards that haven't been released yet. One of the first things I noticed on one was the presence of 8 USB ports on board, something we all can use more of.

The meeting actually started around 11AM and went until 3PM and as we were leaving, Zombie also gave us some free posters and Polo-type TShirts with Intel's logo on them. For me, it was great to even be considered by Intel. Hopefully, something we said may help contribute to their approach on PC hardware. Even if what we said does nothing, I think it's safe to say that we all had a good time. Thanks again to Zombie and the other Intel employees for hanging out with us once again!
