Unexpected 1.32 Update Patch Released For Quake III
A surprising release (at least for me) from id software after their supposed "Point Release Version 1.31." The new 1.32 patch has many changes including a cheat eliminator called "PunkBuster" and promises faster network code. I'll be posting this file under "Games & Patches" shortly but in the mean time check it out here: www.quake3arena.com.

Online Game Night #62
Well, for our first run at an "official" JLF online Battlefield 1942 game, it went without any major hitches! Thanks to all those who joined in! And what a blast it was! Especially with the added dimension of using Roger Wilco! So unless I hear quite a few requests for Quake 3, I'm going to go ahead and plan the next online event playing BF1942 on Wednesday, October 9, at 8PM.

3) Dr. Death
4) Duck

Games To Check Out!!!
We will be playing the full version of Battlefield 1942 and Unreal Tournament 2003 (listed below) at our November 8-9th party! Check out the Games & Patches page for the latest configuration information and patches for each (to be used at the party).

Battlefield 1942  (more screenshots)
Ever since we first played the demo of this game at the August party, I've been really stoked about checking out the full version of this game. I recieved it in the mail on release day (September 14th), and have playing it ever since!! If you haven't already rushed out and bought Battlefield 1942, check out the multiplayer demo and the demo patch v1.1 listed below, and I'm pretty sure you'll be hooked!
Battlefield_1942_Multiplayer_Demo.exe (130.2 MB)
MP_Demo_Client_Patch_1.1.zip (12.1 MB)

Unreal Tournament 2003
Check this one out for some real eye candy! One of the nice things about UT2003 is that the server-side game modifications (instagib etc.) are modular so it's possible to run multiple mods simultaneously. Being modular should make designing custom mods easier too. The game also comes with a level editor which should also encourage many folks to design really dazzling custom maps and models. Keep your eyes open for cool custom mods so we can use them at the party!
UT2003-Demo.exe (97.7 MB)
UT2003-Demo-Patch-1.exe (3.2 MB)
