Congratulations to Dr. Death for winning the 2.8 Ghz CPU donated by Intel! Michael from Intel also threw in a Gig. of 800 RDRAM with the condition that Dr. Death got an Intel chipset motherboard (no brainer)! What a deal! Plus!!! Without notice, Intel also donated a Collector's Edition of Warcraft III! LiL_J was the very happy winner of that.

We also checked out the multiplayer demo version of the new game Battlefied 1942 (thanks to iddqd) and it seemed to be very well accepted. I know I'm hooked.

US Army Makes A Game?
The United States Army has spent a reported 2.7 million dollars on a firs-person-shooter called "America’s Army: Operations Recon" to help get new recruits for the military. It's built on the Unreal Tournament engine focusing on realizm. As a bonus, it's free and it really looks pretty nice!
