In preparation for the June 28-29th party, there will be no online
event on Wednesday June 26th. Our next online event will be on Wednesday,
July 3, at 8PM.

Pentium 4 - Lottery or Tournament Prize?
The winner of the Pentium 4 processor to be given away at the June
28-29th party will be randomly selected using a “lottery” selection
method. It will NOT be awarded for first place in the Quake
3 tournament. Instead, anyone who signs up and pays (and arrives
at the party) is a viable winner! The prizes for the tournament
will be separate and will be purchased using money provided by sign
up fees as they have been done previously.
Also, I have confirmed with the Intel representative that the processor
will be at least 2.26Ghz in speed, probably more. I’ll keep
you posted as I learn more!

Sign UP For The Next LAN Party - WIN AN INTEL
2.X GHZ CPU!!
Yes, that’s right!! Intel is donating a 2.X Ghz processor for the
JUNE 28-29th Jaguar LAN Fest network party!! In other words,
if you attend the next party, you could very well leave for home a
proud owner of the fastest processor available on the shelf made for
the desktop!! The Intel representative hasn’t confirmed yet which
model will be donated, but he did say that, “…it will be the fastest
at the time.” Folks, it doesn’t get any better than that!!

If that wasn’t enough, Intel is ALSO donating an EXTRORDINARY DUAL
PROCESSOR 2.x Ghz server to the JLF group - practically fully loaded!!!
I think it’s safe to say, that we will NOT be having any server speed
issues at the next party!!
Let me give a little background on how all this great news came about.
The Intel marketing department first contacted me upon hearing about
Jaguar LAN Fest from the KCRA
Channel 3 news broadcast a few weeks ago. They wanted to learn
more about our breed of gamers. They said that we fit into their marketing
category that Intel calls a “Have A Lifer” gamer, those who are into
gaming, but also lead normal, busy, responsible and often times married
lives. They went on to say that they wanted to meet with the Jaguar
LAN Fest group in person!
To make a long story short, Intel’s marketing department invited
a handful of us from Jaguar LAN Fest to answer a few questions and
to receive a tour of their Folsom facility. I must say, the tour
was splendid! Ajax, Jackal, Disruptor, Dr. Death and I all got a
chance to see some pretty awesome eye candy in their testing and
engineering labs first hand. And when all was said and done, they
wanted to donate a server and an additional processor to help support
our group!! Pretty nice of them I must say! ;)
I don’t need to tell you that this has been an exciting few weeks!
I’ll keep you posted with the latest as I know more.
One more thing, if you don’t sign up for the party by Monday, June
24 at 11PM, then the cost for sign ups goes up an additional $5.00
for a late fee.
So DON’T FORGET TO SIGN UP ASAP or else you
might miss out on this great opportunity to have an awesome time gaming
AND have such a GREAT chance to win a MAJOR system upgrade!

The new Backman Hall facility is available sooner than expected!
Woohoo! So instead of having the party sometime in July, it will
be June 28-29th. There will be plenty of room this time (up to 40)
so invite your friends. This will be a sleep-over event for all
those who so desire. Don't forget your air mattress or foam though
if you don't like the feel of hard linoleum! Go
