This mod pack brings a variation of already existing modifications for Quake II and unites them
into one downloadable pack.
Installation
Download below and unzip it into your Quake 2 (v3.20) sub-directory
keeping its directory structure and overwriting any files when asked.
Then use the included Windows95 .pif icons to start the game (path
may need to be changed). The commands in the .pif files are simply
as follows:
Jaguar DM.pif
C:\...\Quake2\Quake2.exe +set game jaguar +exec jaguar.cfg
Jaguar CTF.pif
C:\...\Quake2\Quake2.exe +set game jagctf +exec jaguar.cfg
The jaguar.cfg file included with the download configures the game
to take full advantage of the pack. Since this file binds keys
and sets environment variables etc., you will most likely want to
view it's contents with notepad and adjust it to your liking. All
the settings within the file has commented descriptions.

included in this Jaguar pack.

Swinging Grappling Hook v1.3
Author: Perecli "Bort" Manole
Modified: 7/23/98
A definite winner! With it's advanced swinging algorithm, it is really easy to get
into the game.
The Swinging Grappling Hook is a rotating iron shaft with claws, thrown by a chain and used for
grasping, drawing and holding. Can be used for getting out of tight spots, getting to unreachable
places, and even stabbing your enemy, inflicting pain. Make yourself a hard target to hit
by swinging from the hook while taking shots at the poor saps below. The
hook requires no ammunition. You're going to like this one! Supports Quake II releases v3.12 through v3.17.
Features
- unprecedented use of true to life swinging physics
- ability to climb up or drop down the chain
- ability to push opponent(i.e. in lava) from hook impact
- ability to inflict damage to your opponents with the hook
- undisturbed use of weapons during hook use

New Weapon Sound Files
Author: Gurkoz
New sounds for weapon fire have been added to liven things up a bit. They're all from the combo-mod
called the Exxtreme Pak.

Viewable Weapons v3.12v4
Author: Tsunami
"VWEP" for short allows you to see the other player's weapon during
gameplay.
So when someone is holding a rocket launcher, you can actually see them
carrying one. Unfortunately this primarily works with the Male, Female, and Cyborg models.
Most other models just show their default weapon.

Threewave Capture The Flag v1.02
Authors: John Cash & Dave 'Zoid' Kirsch
Capture the Flag offers an exciting variation on team play. It gives more meaning to base defense
along with offensive positioning and organized strikes. The basic premise is to attack the enemy
base, grab their flag, then take it back to your base. In this variation you must touch your base
flag when carrying the enemy flag in order to score - if your flag isn't at your base when you
return, you or your team must get it back to gain points and captures.
Additional Maps
q2ctf1 - McKinley Revival
q2ctf2 - Stronghold Opposition
q2ctf3 - The Smelter
q2ctf4 - Outlands
q2ctf5 - Capture Showdown
Tech Powerups
There are four tech powerups, spinning rings with symbols inside them - you'll spot them right away.
They are:
The Power Amplifier
Signified by the large nail, increases your attack power.
The Disruptor Shield
Signified by the large gear. It increases your resistance to enemy attacks.
The Time Accelerator
Has wings spinning inside of it, and greatly increases your speed.
The Auto Doc
Bears a spinning red cross. This tech regenerates your health constantly.
The command "droptech" in the console will cause you to drop the tech you are currently
carrying, to pass it to a teammate or to pick up another one. You cannot pick up the tech that you have
just dropped.
There is also a new identification command that enables player identification display. Type "id" in the
console to turn it on. Then whoever you are looking at will be displayed on the HUD. The display is
<name>\<model>/<skin>.
