PC Setup:
The following describes how your PC would ideally be configured before
ariving to the party:
- Working 10/100/1000 BaseT network card with driver properly installed
- Client for Microsoft Networks installed
- TCP/IP Installed and set to the Microsoft defaults (DHCP is
used for addressing)
- File And Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks enabled
- If you have NetBEUI installed please uninstall it (clogs the
network up)
- Turn off all Proxy (WinGate, Sygate, WinProxy, Avirt) or DHCP
software (anything that might hand out IP address) before connecting
to the network.
- All the games that you want to play installed and configured
with the latest patches
- No minimum system requirement, but I'd recommend at least a
3.0Ghz CPU, 1GB RAM, with a solid 3D video card
and at least 35+GB free on your hard drive.
With a week's
notice, we might be able to arrange the use of an extra "gameable" PC for you
that someone is willing to lend out (upon availability).
If you don't know how to make some of the required network changes
or need help with installing or configuring the games then please try to arrive Friday evening and someone should be able to assist you then. Please feel
free to email us with any other questions. |
